Lykke Crypto Index - LyCI (pronounced like the name ‘Lucy’) is a tool that consolidates and tracks the performance or value of a selection of underlying cryptocurrencies. The below glossary lists all the keywords you need to know about LyCI.



crypto index diversifying several crypto-assets into a group and then tracking the overall market performance of the group

LyCI service token allows the client to get exposure to the crypto-market as a whole, thus eliminating systematic risk in relation to single cryptocurrencies
Pay LyCI tracks the top 10 cryptocurrencies that can be used to buy and sell goods and services
Smart LyCI tracks the top 10 blockchain projects working on improving how contractual agreements are recorded and settled
Rebalancing refers to the ongoing rebalance occurring due to the weights of the cryptocurrencies in the basket being updated in accordance with the most recent market capitalizations
Restructuring means the event whereby the composition of the underlying is revisited due to changes in the current market capitalizations of the cryptocurrencies triggering the exit of one or more cryptocurrencies from the top 25 ones
stable coins  cryptocurrencies designed to minimize the volatility of the price of the stable coin, relative to some "stable" asset or basket of assets
settlement  the delivery of the actual (physical) underlying assets
market cap  market capitalization is a measure of the value of a currency
smart contracts  code that is deployed onto the Ethereum blockchain, often directly interacting with how money flows. Smart contracts allow the performance of credible transactions without third parties.
